Clean vases and pots with ease

Do you have unusually shaped glass vases, jars and coffee pots that are tricky to clean? You could try bottle brushes that are designed specifically for narrow opening bottles but in my experience they are often too short or the bristles are not firm enough. Here's a couple of natural methods that work wonders.

1. Beach sand swirl: collect some sand the next time you're at a beach. Add the sand with some water to your bottle or vase and swirl away.

2. Ice, salt and lemon swirl: add ice, sea salt and a squeeze of lemon to your vase and bottle and swirl vigorously.

Both methods should give you a sparkling clean result after rinsing.
