Pantyhose makes a great cleaning tool

Don't throw away those ladder-ridden or unused pantyhose! The secret is out - they make a fabulous cleaning tool. Cheap and very effective, you'll want to buy pantyhose just for cleaning purposes. I liken pantyhose material to a very fine grade of steel wool. The material is abrasive enough to move sticky stains but not enough to scratch a surface. This makes it great for cleaning sensitive surfaces such as stainless steel and laminate.
Pot, dish and wall scrubber
Use on pots by scrunching up clean pantyhose, adding a few drops of dishwashing detergent and dampening with warm water. Use on dishes and walls by cutting off the foot or toe section, fitting it over a sponge and knotting off the end.
Dust under the fridge
Create a ball using old pantyhose. Attach it with a rubber band to a coat hanger or long stick. The dust and dirt will cling to the nylon, which can easily be washed off.
Vacuum your fish tank Using a wet-dry vacuum and pantyhose, you can change the water in your fish tank without disturbing the gravel and tank accessories. Pull the foot of an old nylon stocking over the end of the vacuum’s nozzle, secure it with a rubber band, and suck out the water.
Buff your shoes Buff shoes with a medium-length strip of pantyhose.
Stainless steel
Use scrunched up pantyhose with a stainless steel cleaner or with a little water and vinegar. Gives great shine without scratching the surface.
