Clean general household items with your dishwasher

I love gadgets that give me back me time. I've come across several articles recently that speak of the wonders of the dishwasher as a general household cleaner. Hey, I'll try anything! Following is a summary of some of the items that can be stacked in the dishwasher for a power clean. I'll confess to not having tried any of these myself but I will be giving some of them a go. Being a bit of a germaphobe, I will be running my dishwasher on a clean cycle afterwards before re-stacking with dishes.

Hats (stack on the top and they don't lose their shape)

Thongs (the rubber kind that is!)
