Got a draw or cupboard you are constantly in and out of that is crammed full of stuff that leaks? If you emptied it, would it look like the picture below?

It can be difficult to remove stains once they have taken hold, especially if they are oil based. If you are renting a property, consider that you may incur a fee for damage if cupboard shelves or draw bottoms need replacing.
Consider a preventative solution such as draw liners. They can be purchased from most department stores and are very cheap to buy.

Rubber based liners serve an additional purpose of preventing items from rolling around which is great for bathroom draws that contain make up products and massage oils that can leak if tipped over.
Cleaning quick fix
If you haven't lined your draws and need a cleaning quick fix, try saturating the area with a household cleaner (eg Mr Muscle) and scrub the stains and hardened grime using a metal scourer. Wipe dry with some kitchen towel paper.
